SNORKELING AND TORTUGA ISLAND TOUR

Our tours are conducted on custom-built tour boats equipped with life jackets, VHF radios, medical kits and the best motors available. Our captains are professionals with at least six years experience and the guides are bilingual.

The most beautiful island in the area and maybe all of Costa Rica is only 20 minutes away by boat. With white sandy beaches and clear water loaded with tropical fish, this island is perfect for a get away or snorkeling trip. You will spend 4 hours snorkeling, swimming, laying on the beach, visiting the gift shop, sliding down the short canopy tour, or just relaxing. Mask, fins, snorkels along with soda and water are provided free of charge. The tours leave the Hotel lobby at 7:30 AM and return at 12:30.   Only $35 per person.

CURU NATIONAL PARK
& TORTUGA ISLAND TOUR

Try this variation which includes Curu National Park for more adventure. A short boat ride passes a sunken ship, Rainbow Arch rock and usually schools of dolphins, fish, and the occasional sea turtle. We arrive at near-by Curu National Park where professional bilingual guides lead a pleasant and easy walk through the forest and fields pointing out the native trees, plants and wildlife. The park is home to three types of monkeys, anteaters, raccoons, sloth, and many types of birds and butterflies. Curu is a Biological Research Center and you will see many of the animals that are being cared for close-up.

From the park a five-minute ride to the white sandy beach at pristine Isla Tortuga will begin the second phase of the tour. There we will snorkel with an abundance of tropical fish, or just swim in the water, play on the beach, enjoy fresh coconuts, visit the gift shop and hike the island. Local fishermen might offer fresh oysters, lobsters, or fish to eat. The Tour leaves the Hotel at 7:00 am and returns around 12:30. $60 includes park admission, snorkel equipment, softdrinks, and water. As always, there will be a bilingual guide on the boat.
